A day with the less fortunate ones

A day that starts off as a lazy sleepy Sunday, Waking up without the habitual alarm followed by lazing over the newspaper, Image result for newspaper
and watching Australia take on Sri Lanka in the Cricket World Cup

As we settle down on the Biryani, Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashmah sends us in splits and we are unable to get out of the imaginary hold it gets us into. Post lunch we head off in a taxi to The Missionaries of Charity who have a branch in Bangalore. At first we are unable to find the place but later on manage to locate it just a stone throws distance away from the HP petrol bunk in Lingarajpuram. We are greeted by the kids with evergreen smiles on their face looking to make friends with everyone. We meet up with the senior sister who supervises the place and she is all smiles as she explains the activities of the place. We get to know personal stories of kids who are not accepted for whatsoever reasons which bring tears to our eyes. Even though their future is a question they seem unaffected by the pain that exists within. As we get to know stories of a few kids tears roll down the cheek of Yours Truly`s friend who as it is, is a very emotional person. She is moved with some kids and feels pained at their plight. We wrap things up by 10 past 6 as we call a taxi to drop us home. And all along the way the feelings of the day becomes the subject of chatter as we come back home.

Back home, we enjoy the cold coffee with Noodles made just for us as we call it a day.
